A Currency Manager of the Year Award by Global Pensions or Professional Pensions magazine is awarded based on a subjective evaluation by an independent panel of judges selected by the magazines among investment managers and consultants. Only managers nominated for an award by pension funds or by the magazines are included in the awards process which, therefore, excludes some competitors. Each nominee provides a short description of its services, products, research and why it believes it deserves to win the award. The descriptions are subjectively evaluated by the judges, who do not examine performance records to select the winner. The short-list of nominees usually includes 5-8 managers in each award category. An award is not indicative of a manager’s future performance nor may it be representative of a client’s experience with a manager.
