Logo History

The crest became the company logo when the firm celebrated its 15th year.

“If pruned it will always grow green” is the motto above the Bisset crest.

The Bissets, of Norman origin, were a respected sept of the Fraser’s’ near the Beauly Priory. This Priory was built in 1208 by John Bisset, near Loch Ness Scotland for a group of monks from Cassini, Italy.

Company Tender

A.G. Bisset and Company is located in the quaint little village of Rowayton, Connecticut.

This charming location is situated on the Five Mile River, a small yacht filled inlet off Long Island sound.

Though not shown at this busy inlet this picture shows you what our tender looks like.

"Corsair" in front of Harbour Court 2004. A 30-foot, 6-inch tender built by Nathanael G. Herreshoff in 1925 for J. Pierpoint Morgan’s yacht "Corsair". NYYC member Alfred G. Bisset and A. G. Bisset & Company purchased the tender in 1982.
